The photo exhibition ‘Faces of Ukraine’ can be seen from 24 May 2025 together with the exhibition ‘The Schönbornfranken’ in the Herzogenaurach City Museum. An evening with Ukrainian musicians and the photographer Henning Kramer will take place in the museum on 28 May from 17:00. The photo exhibition “Faces of Ukraine” can be seen in the Jacobi Church in Göttingen from September 4th. Come to the finissage at 5 p.m. on October 3rd, we will report on the background of the exhibition and great Ukrainian musicians will accompany the evening.

Thanks to the initiative of Hans Harer from the St. Sixti parish, I was very happy to accept his invitation to show the photo exhibition in Northeim from 04.09. -03.10.24 in the St. Sixti church.

In the Jacobi Church in Göttingen

The photo exhibition “Faces of Ukraine” can be seen from September 3rd in the Jacobi Church in Göttingen. Come to the vernissage at 11.30 a.m., we will report on the background of the exhibition and great Ukrainian musicians will accompany the opening of the exhibition.

The friendly support of the board of directors of the parish of St. Jacobi and the D.&I. Fandrey Foundation and in particular the pastors Áron Bence (retired) and Dirk Tiedemann (retired) made it possible for the exhibits to be presented in Göttingen in September 2023 four weeks can be made accessible to interested parties. Thank you very much!

The photo exhibition “Faces of Ukraine” begins to travel. Your first stop after the start in Wolfenbüttel is the Cremlingen town hall. It is from 10.03. – 05.04. to be seen in Cremlingen town hall.

The exhibition catalogs are available at the reception desk for a donation. An express thank you again to Detlef Kaatz, because the mayor of the community, he donated 1500 euros for the donation project. We have come a decisive step closer to the first solar system.

The “Irpin General Education School I-III Levels No. 5” in Vorzel is our first contact with one of the schools that we want to support with our appeal for donations. The director of the school, Tatjana Volga, introduced us to her school for 850 students in 2 shifts. 60 teachers teach from grades 1 – 11, with 25 – 32 children per class. Even after February 24th, 2022, 280 students will be taught at the school every day. Because of the air raids and bombs, partly in the basement.

The exhibition catalog for the photo exhibition by photographer Henning Kramer “Faces of Ukraine” includes 10 portraits and interviews of the people who impressively describe their way from Ukraine to Germany. The catalog contains more portraits of people who had to leave Ukraine to flee the horrors of war. Kramer is driven by the desire to help and to give people hope of returning to their homeland.

His motivation and idea behind the exhibition can be read in the catalogue. Just like the explanation of what happens with the donations. The aim is to provide support for schools in Butcha, Irpin and Worsul in order to enable the children to get an education again as quickly as possible.

The catalog can be purchased for a donation of 5 euros or more. All of the donations go to the “Faces of Ukraine” aid project.

Donations to “Faces of Ukraine” instead of Christmas gifts

The “https://www.peakvalue.de” full-service marketing agency Peak Value GmbH from Hamburg shows why donations are also a good alternative to Christmas presents. The two managing directors, Claudia Sticker and Rebeccca Fraederich, have refrained from giving expensive gifts to their customers and partners this Christmas. Instead, they donated their Christmas budget to the “Gesicher der Ukraine” campaign.

“Gesicher der Ukraine” by Henning Kramer immediately convinced us. Immediately the idea came up to donate our gift budget this year. We hope to be able to make a meaningful contribution to the reconstruction of schools in Ukraine. And that feels really good!” says Rebecca Fraederich.

To illustrate the purpose of the donation, customers and partners of the agency each receive an exhibition catalog for the photo exhibition with the Christmas mail. So the donation goal is not just an informative reference, but something that can be experienced directly.

From individual donations and company donations, as of December 16, 2022, 1547.00 euros in donations have been collected so far. We are currently in concrete talks with a school principal in Butcha to discuss the specific need for school supplies.

The start of the exhibition in Wolfenbüttel Castle was a complete success and was well attended. It was then shown in downtown stores to reach a diverse audience.

What I am particularly pleased about

The great interest shown by school classes who visited the exhibition, because the written escape stories for the portraits give a very direct connection to people and a better understanding of the experiences and difficulties of people who have fled from the Ukraine.
